The Journey
Reach the Virajpet area by vehicle, a 5.5hrs drive from Bangalore, 2.5hrs from Mysore. Freshen up and hit the backcountry road before the sun in up to enjoy fog rising from the paddy fields and valleys. Spend the night in a plantation stay or resort based on group size and budget. Stop biking by mid afternoon early on the second day to spend some time in a river before departing. This ride can be a great family vacation by departing a day late, letting you visit the imposing Golden Temple and to spend some time in the elephant camp.
