MuddyBoots organises wilderness expeditions for children and young adults. The programs are designed to inculcate a love for and appreciation of nature in the participants

We want kids to:

- Appreciate and love nature and the outdoors
- Develop a sense of camaraderie
Successfully vetted by international organizations such as Raleigh International and GVI
Accident-free record of conducting programs for such organizations since 2010
World-class standards for safety, risk assessment and evacuation protocols
- Certified NOLS-WFR, NIWS & WAFA leads
- Field staff drilled in safety and evacuation protocols with guidance from international project managers
- All equipment certified to international safety standards
- Overall, we have been assessed to British Health and Safety standards for safety, risk evaluation, evacuation protocols and first aid
- Conducted over 25 trekking/cycling tours for British high school students, each lasting 20 days with no incidents
Here is a suggested 5-day program for a school:
Day 1
- Arrival. Check into camp. Evening briefing on activities.
Day 2
- Jungle Hiking through rainforest. Introduction to flora and fauna in a rainforest
- Jungle skills (bow and arrow, trap building, shelter building)
- Team Games (Catapult building etc.)
- Return to camp by late evening
Day 3
- Mountain climb to the top of Wayanad’s highest peak.
- Introduction to shola forest and grassland flora/fauna.
- Return to camp by late evening
Day 4
- Cycling: Off road, tarmac on mountain bikes
- Rope activities: River crossing, commando walking
- Bamboo rafting: river exploration and swimming (with life jackets)
- Return to camp by late evening
Day 5
- Return after breakfast
